
Kate Goodwin-Downs, BS, CPT
Wellness Program Administrator
Kate has earned her BS in Biology from the University of Tennessee and Phlebotomy Certification from Hawaii Institute of Healthcare & Training Services. After college, she worked in environmental education and as a sea kayak guide for the University of Georgia and the 4H cooperative organization for three years and then traveled to New York to obtain the SCUBA Dive Master Certification. Katie Joined the team in 2014. She recently earned her credentials as a certified Phlebotomist which allows us to perform in house venipunctures.
Kate joined the Pacific Quest team as a program guide before she transitioned into her current role as Wellness Program Administrator. She believes in Pacific Quest’s mission, and has found the experience essential to her own personal growth and self-understanding. She is passionate about her role and truly believes in caring for the whole person, rather than simply treating a young person’s symptoms. She has witnessed first hand the transformation of many students during her time at Pacific Quest.
Kate always recognized the value of living an active and healthy lifestyle. She is now part of an outrigger canoe club that competes with clubs across the state. Kate also enjoys camping around Hawaii as well as woodworking and stained glass crafting.
