Pacific Quest Alumni and Family Communications Terms

1. Overview
These Terms apply to voluntary communications between Pacific Quest and alumni, parents, guardians, family members, and other authorized individuals who choose to remain connected after program completion.
Participation is optional. Consent to receive text messages or emails is not required to receive, continue, or complete treatment, services, or any other transaction with Pacific Quest.
By opting in, you agree to these Terms.
2. How We Communicate
Pacific Quest communicates with alumni and families through individualized text messages and emails. These are occasional, relationship-based communications sent by Pacific Quest staff using Pacific Quest’s communication tools.
3. How to Opt In
Individuals may opt in by completing the Pacific Quest Alumni and Family Engagement consent form, providing their contact information, and affirmatively selecting a separate text messaging consent checkbox.
The text messaging checkbox is unchecked by default, is separate from any treatment or service agreement, and may be left unchecked without affecting treatment or services.
If you previously opted out of text messages, you may opt back in by replying START or UNSTOP to the same Pacific Quest phone number.
For young adult participants, Pacific Quest communicates only with parents, guardians, or other individuals authorized through a valid Release of Information.
4. What We May Send
Communications may include:
- Alumni program updates and announcements
- Family support resources and educational information
- Invitations to webinars, workshops, support groups, events, and alumni gatherings
- Surveys and requests for feedback
- Information about Pacific Quest programs or resources that may benefit families after discharge
- Requests to share Pacific Quest’s publicly available information with families who may benefit from its programs
Pacific Quest does not offer compensation, gifts, rewards, or other incentives in exchange for referrals.
Pacific Quest does not send confidential health information by text message.
5. Text Messaging
By opting in, you agree to receive recurring text messages from Pacific Quest.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. After replying STOP, you will receive one confirmation message and will receive no further text messages unless you opt in again.
To resume text messages after opting out, reply START or UNSTOP to the same Pacific Quest phone number.

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may change without notice.
6. Email
You may unsubscribe from emails at any time by:
- Using the unsubscribe link included in the email
- Replying to request that Pacific Quest stop sending emails
- Contacting Pacific Quest directly
Unsubscribing from emails does not automatically unsubscribe you from text messages, and unsubscribing from text messages does not automatically unsubscribe you from emails.
7. Not for Emergencies
These communications are intended for informational, alumni, family-engagement, and community purposes only.
Text messages and emails are not continuously monitored and should not be used for clinical emergencies.
If you or a family member is experiencing a mental health crisis, call 911, contact 988, or seek immediate emergency assistance.
8. Privacy
Pacific Quest does not sell, rent, purchase, share, or transfer mobile opt-in information or text messaging consent to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Pacific Quest does not purchase or accept third-party messaging consent. Each recipient must provide consent directly to Pacific Quest.

9. Eligibility
You must be the account holder or an authorized user of the mobile number or email address you provide.
You must have the authority to consent to communications sent to that phone number or email address.
