Pacific Quest’s primary responsibility is the safety of each adolescent and young adult in our care. Pacific Quest operates on a 25-acre farm with residential homes and facilities. While our tranquil settings are designed to feel remote and peaceful, we have easy vehicle access to all sites, indoor facilities for sleeping and immediate shelter from inclement weather. Students at each location have round-the-clock access to comprehensive medical resources. Our location and real-time ability to contact all treatment team members allows us to expeditiously individualize safety plans.
All staff members are trained in the Sustainable Growth model and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention techniques to support students in managing their responses to challenges they may be facing. Pacific Quest operates at a low student-to-staff ratio and provides (awake) overnight staff 365 days a year. We take these extra measures to ensure students receive the alert and proficient support they may need at any hour of the day.
Pacific Quest has an impeccable safety record and only employs the highest quality staff who have multiple years of experience and/or applicable college degrees. All of PQ’s behavioral health workers, from logistical support staff to doctors and psychologists, prioritize the best possible care for each and every student. Our safety committee meets regularly to review policies and procedures and discuss how we can further exceed industry standards and best practices for each activity and area of programming.
