ALUMNI AND FAMILY SERVICES DIRECTOR
Mike Sullivan, MA, LMHC
Mike is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years experience working with youth and families. His fascination with the wild and natural environment led him to pursue a career in wilderness therapy. Working for a therapeutic wilderness program in Idaho, Mike developed a sincere passion for working with adolescents and young adults, where he honed his interpersonal skills and nurtured his ability to connect with teens. Inspired by the power of experiential therapy in the desert of Idaho, Mike went on to earn his Masters in Psychology at Seattle University in 2009.
Mike has extensive experience serving youth, adolescents, and families with a diverse range of mental health issues. In addition to his work in a community mental health center, Mike mentored adolescents and provided family support in a home-based transition program, focused on helping teens transition back to the home environment after attending therapeutic programs and schools. Most recently, Mike served as a clinician for Pacific Quest for over five years.
Mike has helped hone the clinical model at PQ through his dedicated individual and family therapy with hundreds of Pacific Quest families. Mike brings his clinical skills and intimate understanding of Pacific Quest to his role as Alumni and Family Services Director. He contributes leadership and compassionate teamwork to the “ohana” atmosphere that embodies Pacific Quest. In his spare time, Mike enjoys the natural beauty of Hawaii that is especially conducive to his favorite activities – surfing, triathlon, and yoga.
