Shannon comes to Pacific Quest with extensive wilderness therapy experience. Shannon served as Field Instructor at a well known wilderness therapy program, and later took on the responsibility of managing the Field Department. Shannon worked closely with Field Guides, where she was responsible for creating and implementing trainings, teaching crisis intervention, and coordinating risk management response. Shannon has a strong focus on education and supporting both clients and guides.

Originally from Texas, Shannon graduated with a B.S. in Multidisciplinary Science along with a secondary teaching certificate from the University of Texas, San Antonio. While in school, Shannon began to manage the Outdoor Pursuits program, where she created trips and taught rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing and backpacking to fellow college students.  She is also a certified Wilderness First Responder and a crisis intervention and de-escalation instructor.

As the Field Manager, Shannon is committed to holding space for PQ Program Guides to develop and grow, professionally. She is passionate about whole-person health and discovering new ways to facilitate effective journeys for each student through support of the Program Guides. Shannon chose Pacific Quest because she sincerely believes in the PQ philosophy and mission.

Shannon enjoys learning new things and taking adventures.  In her free time, Shannon enjoys cooking, traveling and looking for new hikes with her German Shepherd, McKinley.
