THERAPIST INTERN & PROGRAM SUPERVISOR
Sarah Blechman, MSW-Candidate
Sarah is a therapist intern with nine years of experience working with adolescents in outdoor education, behavioral and mental health settings. Sarah worked at Pacific Quest as a program guide, rites of passage facilitator, and supervisor before joining the clinical team. The profound success of Pacific Quest’s Sustainable Growth Model served as the impetus for her pursuit of a masters degree in social work with an emphasis in mental health through the University of Louisville. She will graduate in the summer of 2019.
Sarah’s clinical practice is informed by her belief in the value of insight and awareness which can be discovered through deliberate experiences. She uses creative horticulture therapy interventions to empower clients to learn how to meet their own connection needs and allows clients to cultivate the foundations of their emerging identities through teaching authentic communication. Sarah has been trained in EMDR and Sandplay therapy.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys working in her own garden, practicing yoga and exploring the jungles of the Big Island with friends and her family.
