Pacific Quest Alumni and Family Communications Terms

Effective date: 06/12/2026

1. Overview

These Terms apply to voluntary communications between Pacific Quest and alumni and families who have chosen to stay in touch after program completion. Participation is optional and is not a condition of any treatment or services. By opting in, you agree to these Terms.

2. How we communicate

Pacific Quest communicates with alumni and families on an individual, one-to-one basis through text message and email. These are occasional, relationship-based messages sent by Pacific Quest staff.

3. How to opt in

You can opt in by completing the Pacific Quest consent form and providing your mobile number and email address. If you previously opted out of text messages, you can opt back in by texting the keyword “Alumni” to our number. For young adult participants, Pacific Quest communicates only with parents, guardians, or other individuals authorized through a valid Release of Information (ROI).

4. What we may send

Communications may include alumni updates and announcements, family support resources and educational content, invitations to webinars, workshops, support groups, events, and alumni gatherings, surveys and requests for feedback, information about programs and resources that may benefit families after discharge, and invitations to share Pacific Quest with others who may benefit. Pacific Quest does not send confidential health information by text message.

5. Text messaging

For text messages specifically, message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, after which you will receive one confirmation message and no further texts unless you opt in again. For help, reply HELP. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, and supported carriers may change.

6. Email

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time by replying to ask us to stop, or by contacting us directly.

7. Not for emergencies

These communications are for informational and community engagement purposes only and are not monitored for clinical emergencies. If you or a family member is experiencing a mental health crisis, call 911, contact 988, or seek immediate emergency assistance.

8. Privacy

We do not sell or share mobile opt-in information or consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. For details on how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy at https://pacificquest.org/privacy-policy.

9. Eligibility

You must be the account holder or an authorized user of the mobile number and email address you provide, and you must have the authority to consent on behalf of them.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates take effect when posted to this page, with a revised effective date.
