FIELD DIRECTOR
Chris Kaiser, WFR, Lifeguard
Before co-founding Pacific Quest, Chris worked as a field instructor, leading student expeditions for a number of schools and programs in Idaho, Utah and Oregon. It was however, his apprenticeship and experiences with The School of Lost Borders that inspired him to incorporate wilderness rites of passage into an outdoor program that is completely unique. Chris works closely with every student on their personal solo in addition to his role overseeing the farming and field operations. Chris enjoys surfing and putting energy into his land here on the Big Island.


FIELD SUPERVISOR
Brian Hannon, WFR, NVCI
Brian has extensive experience in the area of wilderness therapy. In his seven years at SUWS Adolescent and Youth Program, Brian served as a field instructor and then moved into the role of Field Director in which he managed, hired, supervised and trained a large team of instructors. Brian then became a transport agent based in Portland transferring students from their homes to programs around the country. For two years Brian worked as a one-on-one ABA therapist for a 13 year old autistic child. Brian’s sincerity, dedication and creativity are a great addition to the PQ team. He is a gifted guitar, mandolin, ukulele player and artist.


LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR
Kawika Delao
Kawika Delao was born and raised on the island of Hawaii He earned a B.A. in Psychology at Colorado State University and is a military veteran. As an avid surfer and hiker, Kawika enjoys sharing his love of the islands unique landscape and cultural heritage during our weekly group outings. He also brings his own perspective of having attended boarding schools and similar programs as a teen. Kawika’s goal is to provide the students with memorable island adventures that are safe and educational. Kawika and his wife Tia are expecting their first baby in the summer of 2009.
